Chemical filtration cartridges include 25% more activated carbon than most competitors to remove more pollutants for longer period of time.
Higher flow rates ensure higher dissolved oxygen content for healthier, more active fish. Also higher turnover means more water filtered per hour.
Patented biological grid provides more surface area for sustaining a healthy biological bacteria bed. A second wet-dry grid adds more biological filtration and increases the oxygen supply as the water flows back into the aquarium.
The internal pump is actually submerged in the aquarium. This helps dampen noise, eliminates leaks and starts up automatically (no priming) after cleaning or power interruptions. No more messy spills.
All-in-all, one of the best power filters today.
Increased circulation from larger Bio Wheels provide more surface area for nitrifying bacteria to grow. As the Bio Wheel turns, water contacts the bacteria, allowing it to eliminate toxic ammonia and nitrite. As the Bio Wheel turns, water is also oxygenated. This keeps the tank and the nitrifying bacteria healthy.
Popular Rite-Size filter cartridges make media care easy. New sealed motor and tighter cover design cut down water noise.
Each aquarium filter cartridge is also packed with Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon. As the water passes through the carbon, harmful contaminants are removed.
Refillable Media Containers can hold an additional 4 oz of activated carbon, White Diamond Ammonia Neutralizing Crystals, Diamond Blend (the ultimate in purifying power) or other chemical filtration media to maximize pollution removal capacity.
Cartridges remove waste particles, odors and discoloration, Bio-Bag filter traps particulates from the water. Ultra-Activated carbon removes dissolved contaminants. And the Bio-foam provides plenty of surface area to grow beneficial bacteria to biologically clean the water.
Reservoir prevents back siphoning in the event of a power failure.
Flow control knob allows you to adjust the flow rate for diffrent bypes of maintenance: Fatser for quick cleaning - slower during feeding to prevent the flow from taking the food right into the filter.
Whisper® Bio-Bag® Cartridges come with every filter
The extremely quiet Filstar XP is great for all types of aquariums. It has a large media capacity, strong flow rates and solid construction combined with ease of maintenance.
These impressive professional grade filters are loaded with innovative features for advanced hobbyists, but are easy to use for beginners.
Dirty aquarium water is brought into the filter through one hose line and filtered aquarium water is sent back to the tank through another.
Thanks to 4 large, easy-to-use safety clips the filter can be opened and closed in a matter of seconds. Below the clips are carrying handles that are secure and will not open with handling. Integrated safety handle prevents accidental opening while carrying.
Cleaning is very simple with Ultra:
The filter has castors that make maneuvering easy, but it is firmly positioned on skids when in place.
The NEW, large, 1.5 L pre-filter is located directly under the pump head. Coarse particles of detritis are immediately caught and cannot collect on the bottom of the canister. Cleaning intervals are longer and cleaning is much easier.
To clean the pre-filter, simply transport the pre filter to the nearest water tap, wash out the pad and reinsert the clean pre-filter pad back into the filter.
Now the pre-cleaned water falls to the bottom of the canister and starts to flow through 3 filter baskets which hold 4 L each (total filter volume: 12 L + 1.5 L pre-filter = 13.5 L).
Thanks to these easy-to-use filter baskets, partial/complete cleaning or partial/complete replacement of the filter media is much easier.

ECCO canister filters offer 3 stages of long-term filtration (mechanical, chemical, and biological) in an easy-to-set-up package.
The multifunction handle is unique to the Eheim ECCO filter. It combines 3 functions: carrying - opening/closing - priming. Faulty operation is prevented by the red safety adapter.
This is how it works.: In addition to locking and unlocking the filter and use as a carrying handle, it functions as a priming device. After simply connecting the intake and output hoses and arranging your media baskets, move the multifunction handle down to the start position. The water flow will begin. When the filter is full, just plug and play.
The filter comes complete with media, fittings, and valves. The convenient interlocking media baskets allow for versatility in media setup while preventing water by-pass. With proper media setup, a long service life can be expected, on average 3-6 months between cleanings.
H.O.T. Magnums install in minutes...a feature which makes it ideal for multiple aquarium water polishing (includes the Water Polishing Micron Cartridge). Snap-lock, leak-proof connectors eliminate the need for hoses or tubing. And H.O.T. Magnum's U/L -listed synchronous motor and epoxy-encapsulated electrical components are your assurance of safe operation.
Each filter includes a 350 GPH pump and a micron cleaning cartridge for water polishing.
Water enters the canister filter, surrounds the media and flows through rather than around it. No-bypass ensures total filtration. And Magnum's versatile systems design also allows you to connect the output to a BIO-Wheel PRO for wet/dry biological filtration.
The only canister filter of its kind with a patented design, self-priming, bottom-mounted motor, the Magnum® Canister Filter provides the ultimate in easy setup and restart capability.
For tanks to 100 gallons.
It's a design that delivers the best available technology in mechanical, chemical and biological filtration… and it's a design that is unmatched for capturing particulates.
Water enters, passes through coarse filter pads to remove large particulates and then is pushed through the Carbon Filter Bag to remove odors, discolorations and impurities. Then through the Biological Media Tray where BioFilter Balls contain beneficial, ammonia-neutralizing bacteria that begin to digest biological contaminates. Optional BioFilter Ceramic Rings can be added for even more biological filtration.
On top of it all, the water is run through the Polishing Filter Pad to remove any fine debris remaining and to give the water a beautiful clarity before returning to the tank.
When it's time to service your C-Series canister filter, all you do is push a lever, turn the key, and lift out the easy-access media trays.
When it's time to start your filter again, just press the "Quick-Prime" button to fill the canister with water for easy priming.
It uses a unique diatom powder to filter particles as small as one half - one diatom in size. Even some parasites and bacteria are large enough to be trapped and pulled out of the water by a diatom filter. It is a wonderful "green water" cleaner, as free-floating algae is too large to avoid the filter trap.,
Diatom Filters remove many free-swimming infective stages of various parasites from the tank water before they can attach to their hosts, and when the attached adult parasites on the fish die, the fish are eventually left parasite-free. Because many free-floating bacterias are also removed from the tank, wounded fish often heal more quickly (absent the bacterias that cause infections)
After parasites and toxic algae problems have been eliminated, it is a good idea to schedule diatom filtration on a weekly basis or even continuously for a problem tank.
Used properly, your Diatom filter will eliminate the need to "tear down" your aquarium to clean.
Model D-1 diatom filter is for most routine cleaning jobs. Filters over 250 GPH. Clears a 10 gallon tank micron free in 12 minutes.
The Diatom XL filter, which filters at up to 300 GPH (and measures 18" high by 7.5" wide at the base), is the highest speed aquarium diatom filter on the market (designed for continuous operation).
Used properly, your Freedom Diatom Filter will eliminate the need to "tear down" your aquarium to clean. It will filter 100% of the water 100% of the time - no hidden "by-pass holes".
No-kink tubing allows you the "freedom" to move your filter freely from tank to tank without losing your siphon and without having to re-coat your filter layer. Using the P-29 Recharge Valve also allows you to adjust the water flow from full to slight filtration if so desired.Easier siphon starting permits infinitely adjustable water flow. P-29 allows you to move filter from one tank to another without losing siphon. 30 second filter recharge (without kinking hose).
The filter bag traps the larger particulates.
Using both the filter bag and the powder, the water is polished down to 1 micron.
The Whisper® In-Tank filter features adjusts easily to high or low water levels with mounting suction cups and/or bracket. Each filter comes with one pre-assembled Whisper® Bio-Bag® filter cartridge.
2 year warranty
29 Gallon Seaclear Aquariums are taller and not as deep as regular models. This offers a larger viewing area and more vertical space for plants and fish habitats. Tanks with more vertical area can hold more varieties of fish.

Undergravel filters clean and filter the water by pulling it down through the gravel, trapping contaminates in the gravel and leaving the water clear and healthful for fish. The gravel provides both the mechanical filtration needed to trap the large particulates of excess food and fish feces, and the surface area to cultivate biological activity for cleaning the water of dangerous biological by-products such as Ammonia.
Order replacement filter cartridges and air stones below.
Placed under the gravel on the bottom surface of the aquarium, the filter plates utilize the gravel bed as a source area and provide oxygen by recirculating the water down through the media and up through the uplift tubes. Advance design allows separate plate installation and features optional flow-thru set-up which can be used with a power head. Made of special quality plastic which resists splitting and cracking. Available in 3 different styles to fit rectangular, hexagonal, octagonal, and flatback aquariums.
For use in freshwater or saltwater aquariums.
Unlike competitors' sumps, ProFlex offers very Quiet Filtration As water enters the ProFlex, it flows through a revolutionary bubble diffuser chamber where bubbles are expelled, significantly reducing noise.
Effective particulate filtration. After water flows through the bubble chamber, it flows through two 200 micron filter socks to remove large particulates.
All ProFlex models are manufactured using extremely durable materials, and include a lifetime warranty against leaks.
A refugium can be used for something as simple as just increasing your water volume or it can enhance your tank' performance and stability in many, many ways.
It is a miniature ecosystem attached to your main tank often housing isolated populations of sensitive animals or plants. Much like a greenhouse on a space ship, a refugium will improve the quality of your saltwater system by adding extra filtration, bio-nutrients and other food sources as well as giving refuge to sensitive species.
Refugiums can be used to keep the peace in your salt water tank: used as a refuge chamber for the more delicate species such as sea horses and peppermint shrimp (to name just two) who would otherwise become a food source for the other inhabitants of the tank. It can also provide a place to raise fry in a tank that shares the water with their birth tank
Refugiums can be used to supply live food and planktons to your aquarium. They are well suited to cultivate food sources such as algae and micro-fauna separate from the predation by herbivorous inhabitants of the main tank. Cultivating Caulerpa and other macroalgaes can help to consume ammonia/nitrates and phosphates that accumulate unhealthfully in your tank.
Refugiums can help maintain pH levels.
Overflow boxes are typically used to bring water from the main aquarium to the wet-dry filter or the sump. They consist of a "skimmer" box inside the tank (that has small slits to help prevent smaller fish from "overflowing" out of the tank and into the sump) and a larger box with hose attachments outside the tank. Water that rises above the level of the "skimmer" will "overflow" into the sump below, thus keeping the water level in the tank constant.
The surface of the water is constantly skimmed, removing undesirable film and enhancing gas exchange. Additionally, the water is aerated as the water falls over the overflow, down the drain and splashes into the sump.
75CS, 100CS, and 125CS have single 1" intake; 150CS, 200CS, and 300CS have dual 1" intakes for even more efficient filtering of larger tanks.
A reef sump has important benefits to any aquarium.By using the sump to hold extra water, the volume of water in the system is increased. Evaporation from the tank itself is mitigated by the reserve in the sump, preventing the annoying need to constantly add water to the tank and calcium or ssalt lines being constantly visible.
Additionally, larger water volume in saltwater systems makes the system more stable. The chemistry and temperature change on a day to day basis in a large volume of water is less by percentage than the same change to a smaller volume of water.
The sump is the ideal place to house equipment such as heaters, filters, skimmers, thermometers or any other equipment that detracts from the aesthetics of the tank. These Sumps have ample room for all of the supplementary aquarium devices, and the open top makes maintaining the equipment easy.
The sump is an excellent place to add new water, medicate, adjust chemical balances etc. By using the water in the sump, the effect of changes to the chemistry is less dramatic on the delicate inhabitants of the tank (having been diluted by the sump water before it is introduced into the main tank)
Sizing: The size of your sump is generally dictated by the space into which you will fit it. If you are going to invest in a sump, make is as big as your area can handle without inhibiting your ability to get equipment in and out of it without dismantling it - the bigger the better.
Sump or Wet-Dry?
Easy to use, the unit hangs on the back or the side of the aquarium, just like a standard filter. It is designed to be self-starting and maintenance-free.
Water enters the filter and is forced over the top of the intake column. There it drips through the mechanical and chemical filter trays, onto the BIO-Wheel where biological filtration (removal of toxic ammonia and nitrite) is efficiently carried out by a commercial-sized BIO-Wheel. Flow continues into sump area then is passed through the dedicated skimmer/refugium area.
Ample sump design features skimmer/refugium area for further customization.
Revolutionary front-loading media trays make keeping your filter in tip top shape a breeze. They also allow customization and expansion of mechanical and chemical filtration process.
Purchase a siphon overflow box for un-drilled aquariums.
Includes Elbow and 22" of 1" flexible drain hose.
The Protein Skimmer is driven by a rejuvenation venturi powerhead. Bubble dwell time is increased by the counter-current flow in the skimmer column. The quality of the foam collected can be controlled by raising and lowering the collection cup.
To set up the BAK-PAK™ 2, hang the unit behind the aquarium and plug it in -- that's it. New improved design incorporates an easy to clean intake tube and an enclosed, directional outflow to reduce salt splash and micro-bubbles entering into tank. The new design also uses a smoke colored break-resistant collection cup.
The new Accela pump is similar to the Maxi-jet 1200, however, it includes some important added benefits. The pump has been modified to include a venturi intake which efficiently draws in more air with less restriction on the pump. This results in more effective protein skimming with a significantly increased "sweet spot" for skimmer operation.
CPR is proud to introduce the hang-on skimmer that all reefkeepers have been waiting for, the Cyclone BAK-PAK™ 2R+. This new skimmer is designed for use on reef tanks where biological filtration is not necessary, but still incorporates all of the other features that have made the BAK-PAK™ line of skimmers so popular.
New "Tri Chamber" design of the BAK-PAK™ 2R+ takes the place of the biological section, and when combined with a new and improved outlet design, provides an effective way to reduce bubbles caused by system imbalances.
